That people's vote analysis is depressing. No group has climate change, ecocide or sustainability anywhere in its priorities. We could solve all the things people do care about tomorrow and still be fucked.

The Shoemaker article is great, but I had a mind-boggling moment of "hang on, the Shoemaker-Levy 9 collisions were 24 years ago!?"

... is potent stuff. My Dad is not allowed to have it while he undergoes the chemo-therapy for his multiple myeloma. It was the only food item he was told to avoid.

Sidenote - something I read in CDB: A Patient's Guide to Medical Cannabis (Leinow & Birnbaum) is that one of the reasons that some foods (such as grapefruit) are restricted with certain medications is that that food uses the same liver enzymes for digestion/processing as the medication, and so therefore there isn't enough to deal with both.[1]
