I was also thinking of starting the stockpiling in January.

I have started stockpiling (very modestly!) on the basis that there are things with a long enough shelf-life that if the whole thing becomes unnecessary they won't be wasted. Frankly at this stage it's mainly a psychological thing, that I can tick one item off the to-worry-about list.

I have started a lentil stockpile. This is incompatible with moving house...

I've started stockpiling things with a shelflife beyond end of March. Panic-buying being part of the problem, I'm basically just adding max 10% to our standard shops each week now and will keep doing so, changing what I get as required shelflives shorten.

Mostly I'm just making sure our cupboards are and remain full.

Here's hoping that any walls hit on Brexit will be quickly addressed, though the somnolence of the government regarding the prospect is not encouraging.

Apropos of nothing in particular today, but did you see this? The second paragraph is the best real-life example I've seen of "I'm taking offense at your having taken offense." Next step is for the rabbi to take offense at that, and we could go on this way all day.

I'd be more attuned to this argument if it didn't begin with the totally disingenuous claim that since Corbyn wasn't referring to "Jews" but to "Zionists" it's OK. If that's the defense, then yep, Corbyn's remarks are as offensive as they come.
