IIRC it's not just clothes but also personal grooming products.

I shall be interested to see if social media aided transparency creates a market for men's clothing suppliers to cross over in to supplying women.

(My guess is not much.)

I do wonder why. There's clearly at least a niche market there for clothes that fit, have pockets, etc.

And yet...

It's a puzzle. If men's clothing is so much better and cheaper than women's clothing you'd expect a niche to be there.

Perhaps the number of women willing to break away from consumption norms are largely content to shop at men's clothing shops but are small and so are invisible to both women's and men's clothing sellers.

I always find these sorts of market lacuna a really interesting part of economics.

It's not a bad article, but it is really limited, since everything I've read indicates that some of the biggest losses to automation will be middle-class office jobs, both pink collar secretarial work, and also a fair amount of non-gendered office work. The women and men who lose those jobs aren't going to be remotely eager to take service jobs.

We have in fact just been in Tallinn for the day and noticed the buses, but failed either to use one (not having been aware of their novelty value) or to be involved in a near miss. Probably for the best, really.

I'm glad for the latter. Would have loved to hear a report of the former though!
