Thekla is the first name of the first-named author of the study of attitudes toward working women who do and don't take maternity leave.

Thekla/Thecla is also the name of the protagonist of the pseudonymous and uncanonized Gospel of Paul and Thecla, which apparently made the name wildly popular in the Asia Minor of late antiquity / the early middle ages. She not only embraced virginity and rejected marriage, like many early women martyrs, but she baptized herself in a pool inhabited by carnivorous seals. Awesome stuff.
