I've heard DW is blocked to at least some Russians, so they're kinda stuffed either way. They don't seem to have any problems with Facebook though.

That isn't too surprisingly, since they allegedly block sites not hosted in RU. Their lack of interest in FB and Twitter makes me assume then that they already have a deal with these platforms. What deal, I don't know. I wonder why Linkedin couldn't oblige.

Linkedin wouldn't be of much interest to the majority of Russians, so blocking it wouldn't upset too many of them. (Just business people, who they no doubt like to keep a close eye on.)

Blocking FB probably would annoy a lot though, and most of them would be Putin supporters, as most Russians are. So blocking FB is probably problematic from Russian's POV. I've no idea if the same would apply to Twitter though.
