lj_dev: Why are there no *categories*?

Brad's announced that he's in favour of categories, and CRSchmidt is going to be looking into it.

Very simply formula:

Q: Why does LJ do/not do XYZ?
A: They haven't gotten around to it yet. (Possibly compounded by the fact they didn't plan/design for it.)

Repeat as necessary, and you have a FAQ.

Yeah, but I'd heard it reported that this wouldn't be supported at all, as some higher-up people were against it.
