My "All the data you can eat, 5000 minutes, 5000 messages for £15" contract is coming to an end in a couple of weeks. And the bastards won't let me renew it.

The most data I've (recently) used in a month is 3.7GB, and I never use more than about 100 minutes or 150 texts in a month.

I'm currently tempted by Three's
12GB, 200 minutes, unlimited texts for £17.
The main alternative is GiffGaff, with their 6GB, 2000 minutes, 6GB data for £18.

Is there any alternative I should be aware of?

From seeing boyfriends' experiences: Three have shit coverage. GiffGaff have shit customer service and change their contracts without warning.

I'm on EE, but they're only worth it because I have ten years of loyal customer discount and basically get whatever (SIM only) deal I am on for just over half price.

If it has to be one of the two, I'd go for Three, just because GiffGaff were SO awful to Alisdair.

Stick with them, then, I'd say.
I used to have a dongle with them, over five years ago, pre-tethering-to-smartphone, just for conferences, and it was great, but the signal was v patchy in various bits of the country. They've probably improved since. Wow that sentence has too many commas in. Oh well.

I have nothing but love for my Three contract. Better coverage than O2 (work phone) in the bits of Scotland I work in, free roaming in the countries where I go on business travel and unlimited data at home and at 'feel at home' countries. Brilliant.

would the £15 a month giffgaff 4GB deal not cover you? (You can always renew early if you are running low on data). I've had a pretty good run with them for the last few years.
