I note that the "obvious reasons" for straight women to trust gay men more than either straight men or gay women assume that those straight women have never met any bisexuals or even heard of male bisexuality. (Specifically, in a competing-for-partners model, bisexual men are potential partners for both straight women and gay men.) I know, their error and not yours.
