An interesting graph. A steadyish rise in income along with rising equality during the 60s and 70s - and then shit happened for a decade, with only inequality rising. Then Blair oversaw a decade of similar income rises as in the 60s/70s, but with the inequality staying stubbornly at the level Thatcher created.

Yeah, my major problem with NuLab is that they weren't interested in moving the discussion, so that it would be hard for their changes to be rolled back.

I've a suspicion the English-speaking countries are in lock-step when it comes to economics. (And I wonder if it's the same for other countries, such as the Spanish-speaking countries.)

The US had Reaganomics and NZ Rogernomics, unleashed by a Labour government.
