They're all dead, Dave
Mar. 18th, 2002 08:18 pmI was just reminded by the AICN "Attack of the Clones" review of a discussion with Rob that we had coming back from Edinburgh last week.
We were discussing the last two Star Wars films and he said something that made me really, really look forward to the next two films. It should have been really obvious, but I didn't really think about it until he said it.
All the Jedi that we've seen in Episode 1 (and bits of episode 2) except for Anakin, Yoda, Kenobi and Sidious, are all going to die. The Jedi get completely wiped out by Vader. Every single last one. All dead. The council - dead and gone. These films are going to be dark.
Ooh, I got shivers.

Oh yeeeah.
Date: 2002-03-19 05:11 am (UTC)Right, I want to hint at something mentioned in the review without giving too much away. The bit where Harry lists Anakins bad qualities: arrogant, filled with rage etc, etc.
One of the qualities sticks out a *bit*. Read it again. You'll know the one I mean. The dark heart of the Star Wars movies is in AOTC. The turning point.
And I can't wait for all the nay sayers to eat their words.
