And I'm in intrigued to see where it is in five more years time - whether we end up with another monopoly, or constant competition, or if nearly everything runs over the web, so we don't really care what OS is running underneath the browser.
It's interesting to compare that graph with this one:
Which makes it clear that we're still shipping 50% more desktops than there were in 2004 - it's just that we're also shipping vast numbers of tablet/pocket computers too. I wonder when the first Android desktops will start to appear...
