Virgin have finally gotten around to upgrading the local broadband. Which means my top speed has gone from 20Mbps to 60Mbps. Although in reality a quick test on speedtest.net gave me only 28Mbps, I suspect that trying again in the evening will give a better result:

Also now on 'fibre' and my speed has increased a bit. Currently 12.20Mbps down and 0.52Mbps up.

Which is a vast increase from 2.9Mbps down, although my up used to be 0.7. According to the tests i should be getting around 21 down, but according to the openreach engineer there's crappy cable between me and the nearest cabinet, which is .6 miles away.
