Which looks actually good. And to be doing something a bit different with the character, which makes a nice change, even if it is another sodding origin story*.

Better than After Earth:

Which looks pretty, and possibly entertaining, but nothing terribly exciting.

Or Oblivion:

which has Tom Cruise going for it, and some gorgeous shots, but a plot that looks to have been recycled on a regular basis since the dawn of Science Fiction.



*Seriously. Drop us into a movie about Batman that just assumes he exists. We'll cope. We don't need to start off with his creation story every single fucking time someone does a reboot. Same with Spiderman too.

I really liked the Hulk reboot, purely because it did the origin story in the opening credits and that set up the rest of the film. Stick him in the cape in the first five minutes and send in General Zod.
