I'd leave a comment on the LJ changes post to the effect of "vote with your money, shut down your LJ and move to Dreamwidth?" but I already voted with my money, shut down my LJ and moved to Dreamwidth so I'm unable to leave a comment as I don't have an LJ account :)

And Andrew Haldane just comes across as giving patronising lip service. do people honestly think that any bank gives a pair of fetid dingo's kidneys about people who choose to camp outside their offices? The largest investors won't care as long as the bank makes them money. The bank won't care as long as they continue to make money. Occupy looks little more than an inconvenience and if the bank makes any concessions for the sake of their image, you can bet your bottom dollar that they'll be raking it in elsewhere.
