George R R Martin is ruining my sleep

I am not allowed to go to sleep until Julie reaches the end of A Clash Of Kings (she's at 91% according to her Kindle).

Just heard from the other side of the bed "Oh, who cares about Theon, he's a stupid person. Go back to someone I care about."

This would be, approximately, why I stopped reading it....

(I reserve the right to have another go when it's, y'know, not going to have a paragraph half way through a book that's not going to be concluded until the next-but-one-book that isn't going to be written for another five or ten years.)

I'm enjoying it as a TV series, where the viewpoints seem to be spread all over the place, which probably works better.

I'm then reading it as a book for extra detail!

I saw episode 6 of season 1 the other day, and last night had a really vivid nightmare vaguely themed on it. So I assumed falsely from the title your post would be something similar!

For me, he'd killed off so many of the (admittedly a fairly small percentage) people I was interested in by the end of that book that I haven't bothered since.
