I can't remember the last time I actually used a paper towel to dry my hands!

Surely the more obvious solution to reducing paper usage would be to fit more hand-driers. Has this modern tech not reached America-land yet?

We're getting away from hand dryers here at Koobikal Hel, actually. Between the extra time it takes to air-dry hands eating into productivity and the increasing costs of electricity, paper sometimes makes more sense.

-- Steve'll note that the US is laden with air driers in places that have minimal staffing, to save on man-hours that'd be tied up replacing the towel rolls.

Maybe they work where you are. I've never run into one in Canada that will dry your hands in a single cycle.

But this gentleman's method REALLY does work.

It does, it does really work. I tried it out, the results are rather astonishing. I've been telling everyone at work about it.

Hand driers take longer, aren't necessarily as effective, are questionably hygienic (as they pull in questionably clean air to blow on your clean hands), and leave you with nothing to pull on a probably-dirty door handle, if they aren't push-to-leave.

I was this, it really works, and yet, I haven't sold myself on sharing it, because it's kind of irritatingly presented. I'll probably share it anyway. :)

Also, the YouTube page says nothing about the content in the video in the description. Urge to share dwindling..

The new sort do (Dysons in particular). But they're not always available, and in particular, they are never available at festivals, where I spend much of the summer.

I'll use this at work, where we have the trifold type. I tend(ed) to use two of those.

I never use the air blowers, because I don't like the feeling and don't think they're hygienic. I always carry a clean handkerchief with me to dry my hands with -- that's how they do it in Japan, and I bought a few handkerchiefs with Manly Floral Designs specifically for that purpose when we were there.

Pink cherry blossoms, of course. ;) I've used it so much that it's already pretty faded, otherwise I'd make a photo.
