I'd be wary of compulsion in parenting classes if things aren't actually going seriously wrong, but given the truly terrible consequences faced by children where parenting goes wrong I'd say this was an excellent idea.

I'm fine with the parenting classes - provided they're not being run by any of the loony fringe groups. If they're offering accurate advice then I'm happy for people to be getting more of it. I'm sure they'll be getting plenty of inaccurate advice from other places.
