Cadbury Eggs

Once a year I have a Cadbury's Cream Egg. I love them to bits, and they're one of the things I miss the most about not eating sugar.

You know, I hadn't realized that the switch in fillings had been on purpose. I thought it was just that they were getting lazy about closing the chocolate all the way and it was drying out. Ugh, they're gross now.

Isn't it 'Creme', not 'Cream'?

It is. The americans seem to call them something different... weird.

Yes, but the reason CCEs make you feel a bit sick is the combination of fat and sugar, not the sugar on its own; they have a great deal more calories than a can of Coke.

My wife adores CCEs, but they're too much cloying sweetness for me.

However, the chocolate-filled CCEs are quite lovely, and I'll have one from time to time. (I'm pretty sure I found orange creme CCEs in Australia, but have never seen them in the US.

Why does it have more sugar outside the US?
