And you have to wonder if the Republican Party has just given up on appealing to anyone outside of their crazy fringe. Is this them handing off power for the next decade like the Conservatives did in the late 90s?

Do _any_ of these people have a chance at beating Obama?

*Right of the US Centre, obviously. Waaaaaay off to the right of Western Europe.

And the right of c entre coalition is more or less in favour of socialised medicine. I don’t necessarily think they would enact it if it didn’t already exist but they aren’t about to abolish it.

I don’t see the current NHS reforms as changing the basic principle of a health service free for all at point of use and paid for out of general taxation.

I’m sure there are view Conservatives who would like to change this principle but they tend to get shouted down if they suggest it
