Has Facebook suddenly stopped sending you the notifications you used to get when people invited you to Events, sent you messages, commented on your status, etc.?

Then go here and uncheck the box at the top marked "Send me important updates and summary emails instead of individual notification emails".

It already was unchecked and they've still stopped sending me notifications of messages :(

I could be wrong, but I'm guessing this is unrelated to what it's been doing over the last few days, of not telling you at all when someone's sent you a message or whatever - that is, I'd normally expect a little red number next to the mail icon, and for several days that just didn't happen at all.
