I love the way the brain works. The fact that it allows people to communicate without properly waking up is amazing - I just asked Erin what time she needed to be woken up. Her right arm came up and flicked out a whole palm of fingers twice. It then kinda hung there in mid-air until I took it and put it back down again.

So I'll wake her up at ten. And she'll have no memory of me asking her to when to get her up.

heh

I once told my girlfriend, in my sleep, "I love you" and "I hate you" at various points in the night. In the morning, she asked "Which one is it?"

I wonder if this semi-conscious behavior has commonalities with how drunks will "black out".

Now how do you figure! She could remember but just not say that she does because of the fact that you think she won't! ; )

Is it because you are processing on a subconcious level and your lucid self figures that since you've already had the conversation there's no need to remember? Maybe if she said, "I want you to remember this" you would?
