I'm really not one to go down the "oh, I don't find makeup on women attractive" route, but in some ways the "before" poster really is much more attractive.

Those "after" arms are not sexy - I want to call Oxfam and ask them for famine support, not screw her. And the "before" smile is wide and pretty, wheras the "after" smile looks like she's got a gun to her head and is desperately trying to signal it.

I started reading the independence article then realized I have it on paper right here... interesting. AL Kennedy has such a way with words!

Yes, the quality of the writing was very high. Nice move by the Guardian picking writers rather than politicians!
