If I was suffering from an illness which a researcher was thinking might be related to mental illness, I'm not sure my attempt to convince him/her otherwise would be a death threat.

Particularly when s/he knew damn well I couldn't get out of bed to carry out my threat...

I think it's rather poor of the BBC to illustrate the ME story with a stock photo of 'man looking a little bit tired after a long trip round Tesco'. Seems to somewhat belittle it.

Couldn't agree more. I have M.E. (at times quite chronic) and this just really ties in with what sufferers were told for years: that it's nothing more than "yuppie flu" and "you can't be *that* tired" etc.
