May I refer you to the previous posted video explaining the UK/Great Britain/England/Ireland/Scotland/Wales domains?

Disclosure Scotland, which was functioning long before the service your link pertains to, will still be there after the English, Welsh & Northern Ireland service closes. As its states in the article.

Good point, my brain clearly blanked that bit.

To be honest, it sounds like they're moving to the way Disclosure Scotland works, but it's hard to tell until more details come out.

I have a Disclosure Scotland certificate - it was a simple form - all addresses in past 10 years, passport number and drivers licence number. They search a multitude of databases and list all searches/results on the certificate which surprised me. No idea why England got it so wrong.

Dunno. They probably got away. They seemed to get carried away about security a _lot_.
