I have an 'I don't care if this is compromised' password I use for all random sites.

I imagine once people realise they'll not be allowed to drink at the Qatar world cup, that bookings will really start to suffer...

on the amazon thing -

Amazon have the right to not publish a title
They should have had clear guidelines
They should inform authors when titles are being removed
They should NOT be able to delete ANY title from user's Kindles. Not even if they offer a refund.

the last point is why I will not have a Kindle or any e-reader where a central source has the power to remove something I have purchased.

they may not like it, but the established model for book purchase is "buy once" not "pay lease fee".

The established model for buying books is going to change dramatically as Ebook sales increase. I'm not sure anyone knows what the future model for Ebook sales is going to be.

Or kiss in public or have unmarital sex. I can't see many football fans going to Qatar, but I suspect FIFA knew that. As the vast majority of the audience watch it on TV, most of the money comes from TV rights, I don't suppose it matters really.

Aye. So long as they've agreed to build a lot of shiny modern tv-friendly stadiums, then FIFA will be happy.

Just so long as they ban those fucking horns.

Hard to imagine Qatar being able to provide full crowds for all of the games though.

So, is Amazon going to pull all of the V.C. Andrews catalog now, because, really, that's nothing but really popular incest porn.

They could hit the Twilight series next since that is softcore necrophilia and bestiality porn.

Heinlein would be next since in one of his books a 700 year old man manages to go back in time and bang his own mother.

Re# Jon Favreau:

Bad headline. What do they mean by 'out'?
