Google Translate renders faux pas in English as faux pas in Norwegian. It renders faux pas in French as snuble in Norwegian. Snuble in Norwegian is translated as stumble in English.

From this article about HTC forgetting to put an Ø in the Norwegian version of the HTC Desire HD keyboard...

I'd imagine Google Translate rendering "faux pas" from English as "faux pas" in Norwegian is just the same as the way Google Translate will render "weethlethwisk" in English as "weethlethwisk" in Norwegian.

Yeah, I figured that Google didn't think that Faux Pas was English. Which just goes to show that they don't understand how big English is :->
