In case you had any illusions about my competence

Left Sophia's shoes on a bus on Saturday. Emailed the bus people straight away.

Got an email an hour ago saying that they'd found them and I could pick them up any time if I made a booking.

Made a booking straight away for the last slot today. Finished work, ran for the bus and it stopped because I waved at it as it beat me to the stop.

Got off one stop early and then got back on again, cementing my reputation with the bus driver.

Got off at the right stop, started walking to the depot, got an email with my appointment confirmation and realised it was for the last slot *tomorrow*.

Decided to keep going, plead incompetence, and hope they helped me out.

Realised, while staring blankly at the email, that the lost property collection point has moved to their shop on Shandwick Place, halfway across the city.

Decided to write a post about my incompetence and then book a collection slot for tomorrow.

Will probably now forget to book a slot.

Update: the slots are between 10 and 5. Which is when I'm in work. 9:15 I could do on the way to work. But I do morning drop-off, so I'm never free in the evenings until 5:45. *Sigh* Lunchtime dash across town it is!
