Yesterday was a conference being held for the UK IT & Change division. I was helping run a stall to collect ideas from people on how to improve things. And then I (and some other Edinburgh people) went out for dinner with a visiting team from Coventry, so that we could get to know them a bit better.

Today, I spent the whole day in training, learning about employment law (which I found fascinating, but you might not do. I know a lot more about TUPE than I did this morning).

And now my brain has leaked out of my ears, I have a two-day backlog of LJ and news to wade through, and then I shall collapse into bed with my wife and make snoring noises.

I feel sure that in reply someone will tell me that he's in favour of euthanising old people. But that's one of the most human, decent, funny speeches I've heard come from a politician's mouth. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] skreidle for sharing it!
