Why does nobody make the tablet I want?

despotliz posted about Marvel Unlimited. And I'd happily pay $10/month for access to 13,000 comics - it seems like perfect way of consuming them actually - not having to worry about whether a particular comic is worth $x, but being able to try things out, read whole runs, etc. And not needing massive amounts of storage to keep them in.
But...I'm not reading them on a latop/PC. Both of those have landscape screens, and the PC screen isn't going to sit comfortably in my lap. I want something tablet shaped.
But I don't want a 10" screen. I've read comics on a 10" screen, and you either read a bit of the page at a time (frustrating) or you read it at a size 10-20% smaller than print. Which makes it harder to enjoy the art, and harder to read the text. Frankly, I like the Absolute presentation for comic art - I want my comics blown up to a larger size, not shrunk down to a smaller one.
So I went looking for larger tablets. After all, you can buy phones in a variety of sizes - if I can buy a 5.3" phone, surely someone has made a tablet that's larger than 10"?
But so far I'm having no luck. There's _talk_ about 12" and 13" tablets. Toshiba seems to have had a lot of build up for an "Excite 13" - but there's no sign of it ever actually having been released in the US, let alone the UK. Archos _did_ release the FamilyPad, but apparently botched it with an incredibly slow processor and awful screen.
If anyone sees one, do let me know...
