About a week ago I was looking in the corner of the living room and noticed that there was a bit of wallpaper with staining on it. I thought it was probably left over from when we had the damp problem, but wasn't 100%, so I ordered a damp meter. Today it arrived, and I tried it out - to discover that that bit of wall has localised damp.
I checked the old place in the study, where there was damp externally before, and it's fine, so there's no recurrence of the previous problem, but it seems likely that there's a new leak _somewhere_ in the living room wall.
I've spoken to the insurers, and been told to get two quotes, and a certificate of cause. So I'll be talking to someone today to get them to come round, quote, and do a search.
If anyone has any suggestions then I'll be happy to hear them.
