There's a naked picture of a 10-year-old Brooke Shields on show at The Tate Gallery in London.

Or at least there was:
A Scotland Yard spokesman said they were working with gallery staff to ensure they do not "break the law or cause any offence to their visitors."

On the first point - that's great, working to uphold the law is what the police are there for. Although I'd like to hope that this is clearly a case where art is clearly not the same thing as pornography.

On the seond point - what the fuck? Since when does art have _any_ obligation to avoid causing offence?

Apparently 93% of British homes have central heating. And yet I seem to know several people without. I'm wondering if this is a symptom of knowing poor student types...

[Poll #1464959]

Mine has ceased to function - everything in the freezer is defrosted, and it's just not cold in there.  Must have happened in the last 24 hours.

Now - is it worth me paying someone to look at it?  Or at Fridge-freezers the kinds of things that break badly and then need to be thrown out?
andrewducker: (It's a trap!)

Next week - Sesame Street: Aliens!

(Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] coalescent for that one)
