Heading for home now, winding our way across Skye towards Kyle of Lochalsh. It felt somewhat sad to say goodbye to our little crumpled valley, our thick-walled cottage and the sea view towards Uist and Harris.
It's been a lovely week, one of the most relaxed and happiest I've had in a long time. Had you told me that going on holiday for a week with six lesbians, the latter half of which would be spent with just two of them, who broke up less than a month ago, would be such a wonderfully drama-free and enjoyable I'd have been terribly sceptical.
As it is I feel thoroughly centred, not really thinking about either the future or the past, and ready to face just about anything.
Ed has apparently been up all night with Erin, and is currently on a bus back from the airport, having seen her off towards America, so I suspect my flat will be quite quiet this evening. I'm sure I'll find something to entertain me though.

andrewducker: (Teddy of Borg)
This is the day that never ends
This is the night that never comes
This is the infiite sun
And everything is done

Chorus:
And I'm blinded by the light
And I'm staring straight ahead
And I know that in my heart
I will soon be home

This is the centre of the storm
This is the perfect still moment
The lightning reaches down
And everything is done

Chorus

This is the circling of waves
This is the gaping void beneath
The seas begin to swirl
And everything is done

It can't come soon enough
Can't take me far enough
Open my eyes
Show me the end
Take me away
And take me home

This is the frozen touch of ice
This is the stillness and the sleep
Cover us in white
and everything is done

Chorus
