In summary, definitely worth seeing if you can do it on a 3D Imax screen, and recommended even if you can't. Just take your sense of humour with you and don't try to read more into it than you have to.
Oh - and it turns out that the Edinburgh Cineworld has got it in 3D, the first time they've done that. So even if you didn't join me for dinner and Wagammama yesterday (mmmm, noodley goodness) then you can get to see it. I might even go again.
