Twitter Update
Oct. 18th, 2007 05:09 am- 19:08 Andrew is hoping that the sore throat he's had for a week isn't turning into a cold.
*splutter*
Oct. 18th, 2007 11:20 amOff work today. Sore throat, dazed head, not nearly enough sleep.
It shall be spent in the midnless grip of the internet and daytime TV, curled up with a duvet over me.
Apologies to
poisonduk, but I'm not going to make it out tonight :-

Not the future of input devices
Oct. 18th, 2007 11:22 amThe main problem with the glove is threefold:
1) Not as fast as a keyboard.
2) Not easy to learn - with a keyboard you can see the letters and hunt for the one you want.
3) How many people are that unhappy with a tiny keyboard and need to type while on the move? Unless you also have the headset on, it's a tad pointless - and who wants to strap a headset on and walk around looking like that?
Having said that, I'd probably give one a go myself, but I'm a big geek.
Cheers to

Facebook Event -> Google Calendar
Oct. 18th, 2007 02:46 pmIf you use Facebook and Google Calendars then here's something you might find useful, a script which takes any event and adds it to your calendar.
It's Firefox only, and requires the Greasemonkey addon. If you don't already have Greasemonkey then pop over here and pick it up. Then head here and install the script.
You can then go to any Facebook event and you'll see an additional "Add to GCal" button underneath "share" on the right hand side.

Instructions for tonight
Oct. 18th, 2007 06:16 pm1) Go here and watch the review of Half Life 2: Episode 2.
2) If you don't already have Steam, go and download it.
3) Forget all the other lovely options, buy Portal, and play it.
4) Have no regrets whatsoever.
I downloaded it a couple of days ago, and I've only played the first half so far (work, friends and illness having got in the way) but when he describes at "The most fun you'll have with your PC until they invent a force feedback codpiece." he's not kidding.
