surliminal got me a surprise ticket to see Chanbara - which contained both Taiko drumming and Samurai swordplay. The drumming was excellent, but the swordplay wasn't as exciting. The problem largely being that slicing bits off people isn't really allowed on the Edinburgh stage, leaving them to do things that were quite pretty, but not as impressive as, say, Jump which we saw last year.
Still, good fun, and worth seeing if you're a fan of the whole "Japan" thing.
