May. 25th, 2006 08:51 amMy total phone call cost from the flat this month is £5.20. Which, for over 3 hours on the phone to various landlines and mobiles is pretty good.
To be honest it's probably not much cheaper, per minute, than being with BT or similar. The major difference is that I'm not having to pay any line rental at all - which would normally be £10 by itself. The thought of paying £10 a month to rent a phone line so that I can spend £5 on the actual calls fills me with horror.
This is with Sipgate, who started off very unreliable, but seem to have got themselves sorted out, which is nice. I'd have killed to have phone calls this cheap when I was a student.
