You read Steel Beach? The people who live in "Disneys" seem somehow apposite here - keeping old skills and technology alive, but not for any particular purpose, purely for the joy of it.

I haven't read that, but I think I bought it recently.

There's some similar stuff in 'Makers'. All the more poignant because their skills are future skills for you or I.
