Your point about Jesus cursing and condemning those not on (and impeding those on) god's path to redemption is good. It reiterates the rationale for those who bomb abortion clinics, perform self-flagellation, and beat left-handed people's left hands until they become right-handed.
Blaming the disaster that's hit Haitians, who happen to live on an island between two tectonic plates, for rejecting slavery has a basis in the Bible; there's plenty of instructions and warnings for slaves to obey their masters (Matthew 10:24, 1 Timothy 6:1-2, Titus 2:9-10, Colossians 3:22, etc). Jesus-- if he actually was as depicted in the Gospels-- is insane. So is Pat Robinson.
