andrewduckerJulie has a kidney infection, so didn't join me at Hugh's party - so I spent a few hours there, playing a board game, and then eating Meredith's food (she makes the best Sweetcorn Chowder in the world) before coming back to see how she was.
Thankfully she felt up to staggering round the corner to Morag and Erin's, so we headed there at 11:00 and she survived until about a minute past midnight (although the final fifteen minutes she was pale as a sheet), huzzahed in the New Decade, and then I hugged my goodbyes around the room and we collapsed back home.
A cornucopia of drugs seems to have rendered her able to slump on the sofa without whining too loudly, and some Matzos helped with the nausea, so we finally got around to watching the first episode of Xena (I bought her the complete box set for Christmas).
And now bed. For our first sleep in 2010.
