Would you like fries with that?
Mar. 6th, 2003 09:01 amAccording to the BBC article here doing an arts degree lowers your earnings potential by 10%.
For my American readers (damn your war-mongering hearts), A levels are the exams you take at 18 that decide whether you can carry on to university (and which one).
Seeing as one of the arguments for free university access is that it's good for the earnings of the country (and therefore taxes, etc.), maybe selective degree sponsorship will now be in order.
Of course, that's not the only argument for free/subsidised university access, but I'd really like to see a national debate on the subject.

Plus, I like my job. : p
