Yes I was going to say that. Otherwise, 'like to come' and 'like to come with me' are both fine but 'like to come with' is BAD.

Is the contraction in the sentence: "I'd do this to people didn't like." short for would or should?

"Defriend" makes me think "to take away someone's friends". Whereas "unfriend" is more of a "removing the friend relationship between them and me". Although I'd understand either word for the 2nd usage.

"The shops" sounds strange to me. I'd say "I'm going shopping..." or "I'm going to the store..." or "I'm going to the grocery store (or insert other more detailed description of which store(s)".

Unfriend seems logical to me. You unwrap, undress, unmake, and so on. If we take 'friend' as a verb, which it is in this context, it fits.

Using a preposition with the object implied isn't that wacky in SE.
Eg, 'I'm in the attic. Do you want to come up?' Implied: 'the stairs'.
Or isn't there the U expression of having someone 'to do for'? I might be remembering it wrong though, and it's not really googlable.

I have not answered the last one because I Don't Do Christmas. So I guess actually it does sort of make me go 'ARGH' but only in an 'ARGH it's that subject of conversation again' sort of way.
