For gaming, there's lots of tools out there already that do the trick. Plus whiteboards, shared voice chat, dice rollers. So I wouldn't move to Wave just yet.
There's a couple of neat indie RPGs that are designed _for_ text chat that might work a bit better than Mouse Guard, too. It's a brilliant game, but there's plenty to keep track of.
