Really? I've seen numerous examples of women who find any kind of mention or discussion of rape to be incredibly hard to deal with. It seems to be quite common in internet discussions.

I suppose I can see the point. It does seem strange when potentially _anything_ can freak out _anyone_.

True - but if something keeps coming up then after a while it becomes a custom. I avoid posting large animated GIFs uncut because it annoys a few people. The Metro actually had a "warning - spider on the next page!" warning a few weeks back. And so on :->

I was reading somewhere recently about a SCUBA community that ended up with boards that you weren't allowed to talk about The One True Way on - because otherwise all discussions devolved into "That's doing it Wrong!".
