Web pages that resize themselves, not realising that because all of my windows are actually tabs in the same window, they just resized all of my browser tabs to be 2 inches high.

Idiots.

That's one of the many commandments of good web design, namely "thou shalt not do shit to my browser window without asking me".

It's one of the worst things you can do to a viewer and has stopped me viewing more sites than I can count.

Urgh.

Mine: websites that implement links as Javascript that merely load another damn page, meaning that I can't open them in a new tab. Particularly annoying in search results or listings, when I want to open all the ones that interest me side by side.
And I am now old and grumpy enough that I email these sites to tell them they've lost my custom.

I still look up postcodes on google maps rather than bother with their map link because that's fiddly in some way I don't remember. Oh yes -- it's zoomed out too far to be useful.
And trying to get a search results as a map instead of a list fails completely because many of them are in the Atlantic ocean off the west coast of Africa.

There is an Fx plugin that sorts that out, I used it on my old desktop but it's not on this laptop so I can't link it. But yes, annoying and pointless.

Although tabbed browsers should have an option to allow us to:
[X] Disable websites changing the dimensions of tabbed windows.
[ ] Kill designers firstborn if they persist.

I'll settle for locking the graphic designers in a big room and repeating over and over 'THE WEB IS NOT PRINT'. I've had to do quite a few shit things in websites because the client wants the shiny design they see in a PDF and the designer who made it is a fucking moron.

I seem to remember there is an option in Firefox to specifically prevent them from doing this.

Although emailing them to tell them they are being idiots is probably a more constructive longer-term solution...

Out of pique I put my email in their feedback form as something like 'dont@spam.me.com' so I don't know if they take the complaints on board. Given the shoddy state of customer service these days (there I go again, being old), I sadly doubt it.
