I've seen numerous mockups of user interfaces - usually a neat idea which looks uber cool but would actually be completely unusable in ral life.

This video, on the other hand, looks like it might actually be incredibly usable.

I'm not completely sold - but it's the first one I've seen that I actually wanted to play with and see if it would work.

They lost me when they flashed the word 'con10uum' up on the screen.
Beyond that, it looks a lot like Minority Report UI. Which isn't to say it's bad.

They've got the right way to lay out a touchscreen, though I don't find it particularly innovative. The use of different finger counts for different things is probably clever. Their unable-to-see-anything windowing-system though: bleh.

It simultaneously looks cool and also looks usable, which is a rare combination. I don't know if I'd like it, but I'd certainly be willing to give it a try, which is more than I can say for most systems.

The touch-pad part looks like it has potential. The touchpad on my laptop has multi-finger functionality, which seems similar. Being able to scroll by using 2 or 3 fingers is nice. But I've disabled the touchpad when I have a mouse connected, as otherwise I tend to cause unwanted things to happen by accidentally touching the touchpad.

The left-right scrolling windows thing seems worse to me than the standard Windows GUI. The scrolling makes me dizzy. I tend to keep most apps maximized, or nearly maximized, and use the taskbar, or alt-tab for switching between them. This allows for nearly instant switching between windows without any dizzifying scrolling. Sometimes it is useful to be able to see 2 windows at once; in that case I like to be able to resize and position them any way I want to.
