Date: 2009-10-06 01:37 pm (UTC)(I think I remember at least one article where the Friends of the High Line acknowledged the inspiration of the Paris park - there were a bunch of articles about it in the US east coast press this summer.)
In Chelsea Market, inside the building you can see high windows, now blind, which communicated directly to train freight cars for fast unloading. Hurray for architectural history!
