Except when you look at the one showing that they fully expect the conservatives to get in and will therefore probably not 'throw away' their vote on Lib Dem.

This is why we need PR, like, yesterday. But the tories would never go for it 'cause it'd sound their death-knell everywhere north of London.

That'd be my fear. With so many people believing the Tories will 'get in anyway' how many will vote Tory because everyone else is doing it or just not vote at all.

If I were the Lib Dem's marketing right now, I'd be running a "Trust us, trust each other" campaign in the run-up to the next election - since the reason people don't vote Lib Dem is because they think no one else will either. If everyone voted the way they wanted we'd see a huge showing for the Lib Dem, and this skepticism and pessimism is why doesn't it happen.
