Date: 2009-09-10 08:03 am (UTC)"Basically, our DVD player handles MPEG 4 DivX, XVid, but doesn't support full-screen motion correction (FMC), so long as they don't have any FMC frames, it's probably fine. Many DVD players don't support FMC, so it's quite common to find AVIs encoded without FMC
Even if they are encoded with FMC, we can transcode them
which may take a wee while, slightly longer than real-time on my macbook I guess
