Date: 2009-08-20 11:41 am (UTC)I can still see my feet without my gut getting in the way.
as always, SHock Horror, an internet poll doesn't allow for all subtle variations of answer!!!

On the other hand, I haven't actually played in about 4-5 years.

Date: 2009-08-20 11:55 am (UTC)My life is so awesome right now I could never have believed it could be this good 20 years or even 10 years ago.
I'm an incredibly lucky guy.

Date: 2009-08-20 12:08 pm (UTC)I do very badly in social situations where I don't know anyone. Thinking about it, I don't tend to do well even in social situation where I _do_ know a few folk. I tend to find a quiet corner to retreat to or wander off to find a bookshelf to browse (ah! books!).
Things have improved since my peers have started sprogging. Having children means I almost always have _something_ in common and childrearing anecdotes to swap. being married to a doctor (both) also appears to give me certain amount of kudos by proxy. People tell me the strangest shit they ought to be taking to their GPs... Awkward.

Date: 2009-08-20 12:51 pm (UTC)In fact, for both 'fat' and 'introvert' it's pretty much 50/50 whether I'd say yes or no on any given day. Maybe you should include 'decisive' in a future poll. Also, does boxing count as a sport? If I don't ever box anyone or plan to do so, just practice on bags and pad work etc? How about non-competitive cycling?

Date: 2009-08-20 01:04 pm (UTC)And I feel fat when I get to the stage where I stop at the bottom of some stairs and bits of me keep moving - that's my general indicator to lose weight.

Date: 2009-08-20 01:20 pm (UTC)I'd guess there's probably a weak-ish correlation between whether I feel fat and feel depressed at any given time, but the depression is generally seasonal and does change, while as I say, the objective value of fatness doesn't, much. Women</em.

Date: 2009-08-20 01:28 pm (UTC)You could get a test to see what your body fat percentage was, as that's probably the only objective standard. That's easily measurable nowadays:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_fat_percentage
http://www.linear-software.com/online.html
or if you know someone with electrionic scales that measures body fat then borrow theirs :->
