Fascinating piece on autism/aspergers; ta.

There was a piece on Radio4's Broadcasting House programme this morning about a movie on aspergers - called Adam. I'd not heard about it (you may well have!), but the BBC had already blogged about it - http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/ouch/2009/06/adam_aspergers_movie_coming_to.html

I saw a piece on it somewhere recently - possibly in the Sunday Times my mum was reading when she was visiting. It does look fascinating, I'm looking forward to it.

I've seen Tragedy, the Bee-Gees metal tribute band (opening at a Wildhearts gig). There are no words to describe how gobsmackingly atrocious they were. Or how fast I made it from the middle of the venue to the bar! *

They describe themselves as the "best metal Bee-Gee tribute band in the world". This is purely because they're the only metal Bee-Gee tribute band in the world - and that's one too many.

* This has happened before at a Wildhearts gig. At the Astoria in London, this unknown support came on and started out, sans singer, with a half-decent classic metal style riff. Had potential we thought until the singer arrived in a one-piece catsuit, opened his mouth, wailed in a high-pitched squeal and watched 85% of the crowd point, laugh and head for the bar. The place really did just empty on the spot! You may know them better as The Darkness.
